نورانی قاعدہ — قرآن کی پہلی سیڑھی
Noorani Qaida Classes for Kids and Beginners
Noorani Qaida is where every Quran reader begins. Our teachers take children and adult beginners from the Arabic alphabet to reading Quranic words with correct pronunciation, on campus in Bahria Town Lahore or online.

What is Noorani Qaida?
Noorani Qaida is a short primer that teaches the building blocks of Quranic Arabic: the letters, how they join, the short and long vowels, and the signs written above and below the letters. It was compiled by Sheikh Noor Muhammad Haqqani, and it is the book most children in Pakistan start with before they read the Quran itself.
A child who finishes Qaida properly can open the Quran and read any word on the page. A child who rushes through it carries mistakes into every surah after. That is why we teach Qaida slowly, with the teacher listening to each sound.
What the student will learn
- Arabic letters (Huroof)All 29 letters with their correct makharij (points of articulation).
- Joined lettersHow each letter changes shape at the start, middle and end of a word.
- HarakatZabar, zer and pesh (fatha, kasra, damma), read short and clean.
- TanweenDouble vowels and the 'n' sound they add.
- Madd lettersLong vowels with alif, waw and ya, held for the right length.
- Sukoon and ShaddahStopping on a letter and doubling it, the two signs beginners find hardest.
- Quranic wordsPractice lines taken from the Quran so reading feels familiar.
- Basic TajweedHeavy and light letters and simple rules, introduced gently.
How our Qaida classes work
Each class starts with revision of the last lesson, then the teacher reads the new line and the student repeats it until every sound is clear. The student moves forward only when the current lesson is correct, not when the page is finished. Parents get regular updates on where their child is in the book.
Noorani Qaida, Madani Qaida or Tajweedi Qaida?
Parents often ask which Qaida is best. Noorani Qaida, Madani Qaida and Tajweedi Qaida all teach the same foundations in a slightly different order and layout. We teach from Noorani Qaida by default, and if your child has already started another Qaida we continue from where they are rather than starting again.
How long does it take?
It depends on the child's age and how many days a week they attend. Young children need more time per lesson; older children and adults often move faster. The teacher will give you a realistic estimate after the 3-day free trial.
